River Ebro – Riba-roja Section
The Riba-roja section of the River Ebro differs significantly from popular fishing destinations such as Caspe or Mequinenza. It is much greener, and the river itself is more fertile. The water has a slightly bluish hue, with reed beds and submerged vegetation along its course. This stretch has a far more wild character, resembling a slow-flowing natural river. Trees grow along the banks, including olive trees, wild orange trees, and lemon trees. Between the dams, anglers have access to a total of 18 km of water, making it easy to plan and fully enjoy your fishing time.
If Ebro – then catfish!

Catfish enthusiasts will certainly not be disappointed. These predators are extremely abundant here, and we have the impression that they are not as accustomed to pellet feeding as in other sections of the river. They behave like true predators, just as nature intended. They respond very well to trolling and spinning, and vertical catfish fishing also produces excellent results. As is typical in Spain, catfish grow to impressive sizes. Fish weighing 30–50 kg are caught regularly, while the largest individuals exceed 250 cm in length and 100 kg in weight.
More than just catfish

A stay at Riba-roja does not have to be devoted solely to chasing whiskered giants. Anglers who prefer lighter fishing methods will also find plenty to enjoy here. Beautiful zander (on average 55–75 cm) and colossal perch provide exciting sport and are a major yet little-known attraction of this water. Those who prefer more stationary styles of fishing should definitely try a carp session. Carp are very common here and reach extraordinary sizes, even up to 25–30 kg.
Intimate setting right by the river

Our newest location on the River Ebro offers just two 4-person lodges. A huge advantage is the private, illuminated riverbank. The lodges are located only a few meters from the water, allowing you to fish both day and night, from the bank or from a boat. The owner and host, Sławek, personally ensures that every guest is satisfied with their stay. He knows the river exceptionally well and is a true specialist in spinning and trolling for catfish. He is equally experienced in fishing for zander, perch, and carp.
Perfect for families

Tarragona, the province where our lodge is located, is ideal for family holidays. The area offers excellent cycling and walking trails, charming sleepy Spanish towns, a beautiful Mediterranean coastline, and intimate family-run restaurants serving the best of Spanish cuisine. Not to mention attractions such as stunning Barcelona or Zaragoza, both located less than three hours’ drive from the fishery.
