Early in the season this Golden Dabbler serves as a highly effective shrimp imitation, triggering takes from fish feeding on small crustaceans near the margins and in shallow water. As conditions brighten and mayfly activity increases, its golden, shimmering body gives the fly excellent visibility and appeal as a mayfly-type pattern.
