Fulling Mill Grey Wulff May Dry Fly is a beautifully tied variation of the legendary Grey Wulff, designed to replicate one of the most important insects in trout fishing – the mayfly. Large, delicate and highly visible, mayflies can measure up to 50mm and are a major food source for trout throughout spring and early summer, with some hatches continuing well into autumn.

When trout begin feeding on mayflies, it often creates some of the most exciting surface action an angler will ever experience. The Grey Wulff May sits proudly on the surface, creating a realistic silhouette that trout recognise instantly as a struggling or resting natural insect.

Tied on a size 10 hook and rated as Group 3, this fly is designed to fish high in the surface film, giving it excellent buoyancy while still sitting naturally in the water. This allows trout to confidently sip the fly from the surface without suspicion.

The combination of its classic Wulff profile, high visibility and lifelike proportions makes this fly deadly when fishing dry fly tactics during mayfly hatches on loughs, reservoirs and rivers. Whether fished alone or as part of a dry fly setup, the Grey Wulff May is a must-have pattern for any serious trout angler.
