The Fulling Mill Iron Blue Dun Hook Size 16 is a traditional river dry fly designed for one of the longer-running and sometimes more demanding hatches of the season.

Iron Blue Duns can appear from May through to late October, giving this pattern a broad window of use throughout the fishing year. When a hatch is underway, trout can become highly selective and may refuse flies that do not closely match the natural insects.

For that reason, the size 16 dressing is particularly valuable when fish are concentrating on smaller Iron Blues and accuracy of profile and colour matters more than extra attraction.

Listed under Fulling Mill product code 518, this best-selling pattern is a useful addition to any river dry-fly selection for periods when trout are feeding confidently but selectively on Iron Blue Duns.
