The Fulling Mill Parachute Hare's Ear Natural is a medium dun pattern that combines a natural Hare's Ear dressing with the practical advantages of parachute construction.

Its hackle is wound horizontally around an upright post rather than conventionally around the hook shank. This supports the fly effectively while keeping the body positioned low against the surface, creating a convincing silhouette for feeding trout.

The upright post also makes the fly easier for the angler to follow, while the broad hackle footprint provides dependable flotation without forcing the whole pattern to ride high above the water.

Listed under Fulling Mill product code 1874 and currently shown in size 14, it is a useful dry fly when a visible, buoyant pattern with a low-riding natural profile is required.
