Constructed with a corrosion-resistant graphite body and rotor, the Radius Freespool Reel offers a lightweight yet robust framework that ensures durability and strength without compromising on balance and feel. The reel's internal mechanism features 5 ball bearings and 1 needle bearing, delivering smooth and consistent performance even under intensive use.
For enhanced control and confidence when playing large fish, the reel incorporates a high-accuracy one-way clutch anti-reverse system coupled with a precise front drag operation. The on/off auto Bait Runner system allows aggressive fish to take line freely on the bite, preventing your rod from being pulled off the rest. As soon as you engage the handle, the system automatically switches off, enabling you to play the fish effectively.
To minimize line tangles and ensure optimal casting performance, the reel is equipped with an anti-twist titanium line roller and an oversized aluminium bail arm featuring a Water Drop Bail Holder. The machined and anodised aluminium spool not only contributes to the reel's lightweight design but also includes a line-friendly clip for accurate casting. The 4500 model boasts a gear ratio of 5.1:1, a maximum drag of 8kg, and a line capacity of 0.30mm/200m, making it suitable for medium-range applications. The larger 5500 model offers a gear ratio of 5.5:1, a maximum drag of 9kg, and a line capacity of 0.30mm/320m, providing the power and capacity required for long-range and heavy-duty fishing scenarios.
