Sonubaits Maggot Fishmeal groundbait combines the concentrated flavour of dehydrated blue-bottle maggots with a nutritious blend of crushed pellets, fishmeal, breadcrumb, meat extracts, and cereals.

Drying the maggots removes moisture and intensifies their natural scent, making them irresistible to coarse fish when crushed and added to the mix

This potent formula is suitable for fishing with Method or open-end feeders, cupping in, or balled-in presentation. It’s particularly effective for carp, F1s, bream, tench, and roach.

Mixing is straightforward: pour the entire 2 kg bag into a bucket, add two pints of water, mix thoroughly, and leave to hydrate for around 30 minutes. Sieve the blend to eliminate lumps and achieve a consistent texture.

In warm or windy weather the mix may dry—cover it with a damp cloth or simply add water and remix to maintain ideal bait consistency.
